The problem with capitalism is that we are linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, circular, reciprocal, feedback generated reality, so while markets need money to circulate, people see it as signal to extract and store. The medium has become the message.

Though medium and store are not the same functions. Blood is a medium, fat is a store. Roads are a medium, parking lots are a store. The hallway is a medium, the hall closet is a store.

The only way to adequately save is communally, but that requires a society based on collective responsibility, with rights as reward, but our culture views rights as whatever you can grab and responsibilities are what we get stuck with, if we can't avoid them.

My take on the situation;
