The problems run pretty deep. We are linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, circular, feedback generated reality, so even our concept of time is backward. It isn't the point of the present moving past to future, that we experience as mobile organisms, with a sequential process of perception, but change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

So energy is conserved, because it is the present, creating time, as well as temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.

Different clocks run at different rates because they are separate actions. Think metabolism.

That society is about getting everyone on the same frequency makes it seem like there should be some universal, Newtonian flow of time, but there is rabbit time, turtle time, etc.

The turtle is still plodding along, long after the rabbit has died.
