The question then becomes, what is knowledge?
Basically signals extracted from the noise, but too much signal and it reverts back to noise. The Tower of Babel syndrome.
Signals are like maps. They give you useful information of the territory, but that is in relation to what you want from it. Maybe you want knowledge, or maybe you want money, but with both, the next question is, for what?
We are linear, goal seeking creatures in a cyclical, circular, reciprocal, feedback generated reality, but if we just stop and wonder, some idiot is going to assume we are the idiot, for not wanting moremoremore.
So we have to surf that wave, if only for the space to breath.
Lets go cosmic; Galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.
We have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts through the information precipitating out, signals from the noise. Motor and steering.
This sentient interface between our body and context functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so we experience time as the present moving past to future, while the larger reality is that changing is turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is conserved, because it is the present, creating time, as well as temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
So energy, as present, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past. Energy drives the wave, while the fluctuations rise and fall.
Consciousness goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past.
It would seem consciousness is a form of energy.
So back to the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy and feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information.
It would seem the real divide is between energy and form, rather than known and unknown, order and chaos.
The anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgement. Heart and head.
The question then, isn't the complexity, but the simple is more sublime than we give it credit. We can identify with the chicken, better than we can identify with the egg. We all live our lives with the five year old staring out in wonder and the angel of death waiting in the shadows.
We are just apples pulled from the tree. Gaze at that dimple in your belly, if you disagree.
Life is like a sentence. The end is just punctuation. What matters is how well we tie the rest of the story together. Networks, not just nodes.
Synchronization pulling us in, as harmonization radiates out. Organisms and ecosystems.
So the next time you feel compelled to join the fray, remember it's rock, paper, scissors, rather than winner take all.
