The tools become gods. Especially over generations.

When I first realized BBT couldn't explain the universe as a whole expanding, I came up with a fairly similar idea. That what was falling into the black holes was bubbling up in the spaces between.

When I posited this idea on the Mysteries of the Universe section of the NYTimes forums, they had back in the late 90's, another commentator pointed out it is much simpler to consider it an effect of how the light and the mass were being measured. That it was more an effect of the properties of both.

He mentioned that he majored in Astronomy at the University of Chicago and had planned to make it the basis of his graduate thesis. When his adviser said that if he planned to pursue it, he might better consider some other career.

Rocking the boat is apparently not a good career move.
