Then again, if time is not so much this sequence of events, in which we move past to future, but change turning future to past, as in tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns, then time is an effect, like temperature. Think frequencies and amplitudes.

So there would be no “dimension” of time, as the past is consumed by the present, in order to inform it. Aka, causality and conservation of energy. Then the notion of time travel would mean reassembling energy that has been expanding out, some at the speed of light, since the events in question.

Epicycles were brilliant math too. The map is not the territory.

Even physicists are human.
