There are angels and assholes of every creed and color, though it seems pretty evident the current cycle has a lot of, 'divide and conquer' going on behind the curtain. Which in the long run, doesn't do those being weaponized any favors.
Ask yourself a few questions;
Is money a social contract enabling society, or a commodity to mine from it?
Econ 101 says it's both medium of exchange and store of value, but one is dynamic, while the other is static. Blood is a medium, fat is a store. Should they be mixed up?
A medium is a form of public utility, like roads. Which we own like we own the section of road we are using, or the air and water flowing through our bodies.
What are they hiding behind the curtain, that they'd prefer burning down society, than reveal?
Would a spiritual absolute be an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell, or the essence of sentience, from which we rise?
Should we conflate ideals with absolutes anyway? Wouldn't that just empower the more fanatical, who think everyone should bow to their gods?
Remember democracy and republicanism originated in pantheistic cultures. Monotheism gave us monarchy, which is just oligarchy with history.
Back to the present; If the powers that be were truly scared of climate change, wouldn't they be holding world wide peace conferences, to try to save all the energy, waste and broad social destruction going into keeping the military industrial complex happy?
Funny how that never comes up. Rather one article tells us we have to not drive so much, but the next tells us Russia/China are evil and we need more nuclear weapons to destroy them.
Meanwhile the stock market only goes up, because we think of money as the purpose of life.
The tool has become the god.
The medium has become the message.
Cheers.
