Keep in mind the reason people are at the top of the current system isn't because we are the biggest, baddest and most ferocious, but because we are much more adept at cooperating, even if the goals are totally amoral.

Given our most socially destructive behaviors tend towards the manipulative, than violence, just that violence gets more attention, it does seem what we should practice is more honesty and integrity, than thinking pacifism is the only solution.

The real function of honesty and integrity, in social and political affairs, is it keeps us in touch with larger realities. As it seems that once we start deceiving each other, it compounds on itself, even to the point we grow to accept our own deceptions and eventually some enormous reality check arrives, as circuit breaker to those feedback loops.
