Our culture is premised on individual rights, but the basis of society is individual responsibilities.
It's not like we can't figure it out, but those with the most power to change anything are those most satisfied with how things currently are.
The rest is indoctrination.
For example, money is a social contract enabling large societies, not a commodity to mine from them.
It's a public utility, like roads. We own it like we own the section of road we are using, or the air and water flowing through our bodies. Everyone trying to save gobs of it, at the expense of society and the environment, is stupid. The medium is not the message. The tool is not the god. Perspective.
