Umh. My family hasn't congregated to a little plot of land and royally pissed off all the neighbors.

Context can't be ignored forever.

You might think your back is against the wall, but sticking your fingers in your ears isn't going to make it better.

I like my reality checks in small doses, not pushing them away, until they can't be pushed away any more.

Do you have a long term prognosis for Israel's situation?

Looking at the West flailing away in Ukraine, with narrative control as the primary tool, it seems from my 64 years of following all the various ups and downs, that Israel has more problems than it cares to admit. Invading Lebanon would have happened already, if it was as simple as invading Gaza. The US seems headed for a major economic and political crisis, in which Israel might not be on the winning side of, given the next generation seems increasingly turned off. Europe is flooded with Muslims and will likely be flooded with irate Ukrainians in the coming years.

It just doesn't seem like a lot of strategic thinking is going on. Netanyahu is holding the reins and seems more concerned with his own fate, than Israel's.

While emotions run high, I like to see the light, not just feel the heat.

The bull is power. The matador is art.

Israel seems to emphasize the power over the art.
