Very much so. Actions and reactions.
It's just that no one has really used it to disprove the monolith. Everything as one.
While I haven't read Marx, It seems he was focused on the economic and political factors, but I think that if the discussion stays away from the the belief systems and goes for the logical foundations, that house will crumble as well.
Culture is a cobweb. To culture, good and bad are a cosmic conflict between righteousness and evil, while in nature, it's the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. The 1/0 of sentience.
That's because the function of culture is to get everyone in society functioning as a single organism. Which means anything heretical sets off the immune responses. So I find avoiding the obviously antithetical and people are more willing to think.
Look at conservative versus liberal. Can you imagine any culture ever, where there weren't both liberal and conservative people in it? It's like young without old, or vice versa. Yet this is the level of stupidity people allow themselves to be caught up in, when everything has to be black and white. Divide and conquer.
I don't know that I'm selling myself short, as I realize that since I'm very small, I need lots of leverage and when the powers that be are out to destroy their very own world, I'm just trying to clock the point where people might start to wake up, get past the fear and greed and see how much light there is outside the cave.
A couple more years. Say 2025. When they finally realize the politicians are all just puppets to the bankers. "Follow the money."
I'm trying to organize an Assange for President campaign, especially if they bring him here for trial.
Can you imagine the bumper stickers, tee shirts and posters everywhere?
"They can drink the hemlock, get nailed to the cross, burned at the stake, shot, thrown in jail for life, but history does not forget."
