We are linear, goal seeking organisms in a cyclical, circular, reciprocal, feedback generated reality. If you ever want to address basic social, cultural and civilizational issues, you need to step back to see the myriad dynamics leading up to them. Understand the is, before proposing the ought.

To culture, good and bad are some cosmic conflict between righteousness and evil, while in nature, it's the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental, the 1/0 of sentience. This is because it's the function of culture to synchronize the society into one larger organism.

The opposite dynamic of synchronization, is harmonization. That while form tends to coalesce inward, the driving energy tends to radiate outward.

Thus nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, particles and fields.

Logically a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the light shining through the film, than the images on it.

Ideals are a focal point, while absolute is a universal state, so when an entire culture is founded on the assumption of ideals as absolute, it will be fundamentally conflicted, as all the absolute gods compete.

Currently reduced to the god of Mammon.

Money functions as a social contract, enabling economic exchange, but we treat it as a commodity to extract from the economy. Markets need it to circulate, while people see it as signal to extract and store. The medium has become the message. Blood is a medium, fat is a store. They serve different functions.

I could go on, but people's attention spans seem to grow ever shorter.
