What if it’s really the yin and the yang, not God Almighty?
Even “matter” is more a polarity of positive and negative charge, than it is any particular substance.
We are that polarity of the anarchy of desire, versus the tyranny of judgement. The heart and the head.
What is anything, without the context to give it meaning and focus. The node without a network?
The problem is that our minds are reductionist. Constantly seeking the signal in the noise. Yet the noise is the context of that signal.
We have an individualist ethos, yet the resulting atomized culture means society is more easily manipulated by institutional authority and mediated by a parasitic financial system. Not exactly the result most committed libertarians would espouse. Nodes need their networks.
What is God anyway? Pope John Paul 11 described it as the all-knowing absolute, but that’s an oxymoron, as the absolute has no distinctions, while knowledge is a function of distinctions.
We confuse the ideal with the absolute. Logically a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. More the new born, than the wise old man. Consciousness seeking knowledge, than any form or brand of it. The light shining through the film, than the images on it.
From this absolute, we branch out in all directions, toward the infinite. Form arises from the interactions of these branches.
Galaxies are energy radiating out, as form coalesces in. We have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, along with a central nervous system to sort through the forms precipitating out. The heart and the head.
Time is not so much the point of the present moving past to future, as it is change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
So the energy, the process, goes past to future, while the patterns generated, the forms, go future to past.
Consciousness goes past to future, as thoughts and feeling go future to past.
Lives go birth to death, while life goes onto the next generation, shedding the old.
Products go start to finish, while the production line goes the other way, consuming material and expelling product.
The feedback being the patterns define and direct the process, while the process drives the patterns. Motor and steering. Heart and head.
So is God the heart, or the head?
