What if it's simple physics?

It's occurred to me the two basic dynamics are synchronization and harmonization. One being centripetal, while the other is centrifugal.

Normally they tend to balance out, thus nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems. It's just that as our thinking becomes more abstract, we tend to get in modes that emphasize one over the other.

Somewhat originating in monotheism, where it is that, "I must be right," so everyone not agreeing with my god must be wrong. Yet ideals are not absolutes. One person's signal is another's noise.

Consider the possibility that maybe Russia isn't entirely to blame for the current fiasco and you will get a sense of how even you can be caught up in following the crowd, down its path of least resistance. Though eventually swirling into the abyss in the center.

Even if Putin is the current incarnation of evil, the irony of the current situation is that the greatest gift any despot can have, is an external adversary and not have to constantly make up new boogiemen, as some regimes seem wont to do.

The problem is that life is complicated and good and bad are not some cosmic conflict between the forces of righteousness and evil, but the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental, the 1/0 of sentience. It is just that in order to function as a larger, emergent organism, society has to have clear, black and white definitions, because most people are fairly simple minded and the crowd even more so.

The fact is that when we do become increasingly delusional, eventually some serious reality check brings us, or those still living, back to their senses.

We are linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, circular, feedback generated reality.
