What if someone else stretches the Overton window?
Didn't the Democrats start questioning the validity of elections, with four years of Russiagate?
Is it strategically logical to start a culture war against the core of a culture, using a coalition of its fringes? Wouldn't that have the opposite effect, over the long term, in solidifying that core? It's not terribly subtle. Those starting wars are not necessarily the ones who win them.
Personally I voted Stein in 16 and just wrote in Assange/Manning in 20, given neither the deranged clown, nor the demented puppet were viable candidates, but it seems trying to objectively analyze the situation is well outside the Overton window of accepted discussion.
We are living the politics of oblivion.
People are 90 % emotion and 10% logic on a good day.
