What if there is some perceptual distortion in our method of understanding?
Consider that as these mobile organisms, we experience reality as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate. Then, as humanity, we evolved civilization out of narrative based cultures. So our understanding of time is of the present moving past to future. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.
The reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, as the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events coalesce and dissolve.
There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is "conserved," ie. neither left in the past, nor acquired from the future, because it creates time, not the other way around.
So time is an effect, like temperature, pressure, color, sound. Frequencies and amplitudes. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
Therefore the energy, as process, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past.
The energy drives the wave, as the fluctuations rise and fall.
Products go start to finish, while the production line goes the other way, consuming material and expelling product. Lives go birth to death, while life moves onto the next generation, shedding the old.
Consciousness goes past to future, while perceptions, emotions and thoughts go future to past.
Yet it is our digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts the patterns precipitating out.
Consequently there is a strong intellectual bias toward defining, describing, sorting and ordering the patterns, as opposed to analyzing the processes generating them.
We can't directly describe energy, anymore than we can describe consciousness, because it is the forms it expresses that are its description.
Yet while it is information all the way down, it's conversely energy all the way up.
Galaxies are energy radiating out, as form coalesces in.
What if gravity, this inward curvature/pull, is not so much a property of mass, as mass is simply the lower, denser end of the spectrum of this formulation of definition and structure out of energy? Starting all the way out there, where photons first form out of a broader, lighter energy field, acquiring their initial definition.
Then the initial curvature of light starts with its very definition and there is no outside pull necessary. This process then extends all the way down through the various feedback loops of concentration and radiation.
I could expand on this line of thought, but having found it gets little reception among those attached to current methodologies, I'll leave it at that.
