There was close to a civil war in Israel prior to Oct 7th, between these two sides; The religious fundamentalists/tribalists and the liberal cosmopolitan side. Oct 7th forced the cosmopolitan side to get behind the tribalists. Now everything is spiraling down that rabbit hole and there is no long term plan, other than hoping the sky opens and that stairway to heaven descends.
