What seems to be ignored is that government was privatized originally. It was called monarchy. When society grew too complex for it to function as private enterprise, these executive and regulatory functions of society were nationalized.
The current situation is that money and finance function as the value circulation and distribution mechanism of the community. Much as government is analogous to the body’s central nervous system, banking and money is analogous to the blood, heart and arteries.
Like monarchs of old, though, the bankers have lost sight of the fact they serve a function to society, in order to be served by it. Basically the banking system is having its, ”Let them eat cake.” moment.
