What we could do, is better understand the processes at work.

As mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its world functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the present moving past to future. It is the basis of culture and thus civilization, as narrative. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.

The reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events coalesce and dissolve.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

It's like a tapestry constantly being woven of strands pulled from what was woven.

Different clocks can run at different rats simply because they are separate actions. Think metabolism.

That culture is about synchronizing our behaviors as one larger social super organism, using the same languages, rules, measures, it might seem there should be one universal flow of time, but it's rabbit time and turtle time. The turtle is still plodding along, long after the rabbit has died.

The energy is conserved, because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color, sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and go, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it's the digestive system processing the energy and feeding the flame, while the nervous system just sorts the patterns/information and the circulation system is feedback in the middle.

Thus our tendency to focus on the patterns and ignore the processes. Nouns before verbs. Like a child's first words.

The node is synchronization. The network is harmonization. Organisms and ecosystems.

One is the node, oneness is the network.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

Sometimes it's more sublime, than complex.
