Without the ups and downs, it’s just a flatline.

I think the most essential dichotomy is between energy and the forms it expresses. Waves are driven by the underlaying energy, while the information of frequency and amplitude are what is expressed.

Inherently energy radiates outward, driving the process, while form coalesces inward, giving it structure and focus. Form.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, towards infinity, while form coalesces inwards, toward equilibrium. Both of which are entropic.

We have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts through the information precipitating out, further coalescing and condensing it. Motor and steering. The anarchy of desire, versus the tyranny of judgement.

Societies are that organic social energy pushing out, as civil and cultural forms coalesce in. Youth and age, liberal and conservative.

Time is not so much the point of the present moving past to future, as it is change, turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Cause becomes effect

So the energy, as process, goes past to future, while the forms generated go future to past. As consciousness goes past to future, while thoughts go future to past.

Cosmic convection cycles.
