Wouldn't it be logical to understand math as emergent, with the processes and patterns it describes? Which would explain why it's stable and relational, without being absolute.

Epicycles were brilliant math, as description, but the crystalline spheres were lousy physics, as explanation.

It seems they still have it backwards.
