Yes, and the West is all about the node, from atoms to individuals.

Here is an interesting interview, from 20 years ago, with a famous computer scientist, who argued the quantum particle is an artifact of the measuring device; http://worrydream.com/refs/Mead%20-%20American%20Spectator%20Interview.html

I could provide a fair number of such dissenting views from current physics orthodoxy.

The Big Bang Theory falls apart under cursory examination. Here is an essay of mine;

Yet the only way to explain cosmic redshift otherwise, is if we are sampling a wave front, not detecting individual, single spectrum photons.

On the political front, I would argue the influence and power of diaspora Judaism was providing the networking to the European nation states. The traders, bankers, merchants, intellectuals, doctors, etc, that are both function and effect of the broader networking. Making their religious affiliation an integral part of modern liberal cosmopolitanism. Of which modern media is a further effect.

This is why the underlaying metaphysics needs to be explored.

Our minds select, "signal from the noise." Which, if you think about it, long predates any concept of civilization, culture, etc, but goes to the very basis of perception. As such, we identify with what resonates and synchronizes with our prior understandings. Which goes to the very nature of knowledge.

The assumption inherent in monotheism, cultural monism, is there is some objective, ultimate system in which everything has its place. If it isn't God, it's Math.

Yet the universal is the elemental. So all maps, models, ideals, beliefs, etc. are subjective to their frames of references, intentions, purposes, languages, rules, measures, etc. Without which they break apart. Go Tower of Babel

They will build up as long as the feedback from their networks is positive and break down when it turns negative. Which is the wave cresting.

So there is this love/hate relationship consciousness has with the order/thought it both creates and transcends. The very maps we use to understand the territory can never encompass that much of the territory, because too much information and the signal reverts back to noise. Whiteout.

Not only do they become old and crusty and restrict further growth, but they conflict with one another.

Organisms in ecosystems. The larger effect of which is harmonization, as these nodes rise and fall like so many waves across infinity.

Think in terms of galaxies. As the structure is drawn ever further in, it keeps breaking down and both releasing energy, while coalescing into ever more dense elements.

Much as the fanatics of every belief system spiral into their vortex/rabbit hole, while the more rational will leave and try to find more accommodating belief systems.

What actually falls into the black hole in the center is very little, but it is shot out the poles as quasars, which are enormous lasers, which are synchronized light waves. So the synchronization is much more foundational than whatever brand is the belief system.

I'm trying to draw a very larger picture here, so take of it what you will.
