Yet how far has philosophy unraveled the whole Gordian knot of sentient existence?

Is God the essence of sentience, from which we rise, or an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell? The light shining through the film, or the stories playing out on it?

Is time the present going past to future, or change turning future to past?

If we spend our lives in scholarly pursuits, obviously it is the first, as we sit on this mountain of cumulative knowledge.

Yet if we just go for a walk outside, it is the second, as tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

A tapestry being woven of strands pulled from what was woven. Cause becomes effect.
