Yet we are driven by our desires. Without the appetite, the banquet of life is nothing.

It is that we have to sort among our desires, with the mind as more a referee, than the source. Consciousness bubbles up, driving us on, while thoughts coalesce, giving direction.

The anarchy of desire versus the tyranny of judgement. The heart and the head.

Not all desires are healthy, nor all decisions wise. Trial and error.

Also, about Diogenes sanitation, too much does tend to stifle our immune system.

The reason people are so sensitive isn't to wallow in our feelings and desires, but to be more aware of our situation than any other life form.

The bull is power. The matador is art.
