The Romans co-opted a monotheistic sect to be the state religion as the Empire coalesced out of the ashes of the Republic, because the Big Guy Rules.

When we went back to more populist forms of government, it required the separation of church and state, basically culture and civics!

It's all freaking conspiracies all the freaking way down.

They just churn out some bland mush after awhile and call it history.

Given the winners write the history books, who knows who will be the good guys and who will be the bad guys of today.

It's not about conspiracy theories, it's about prying open the cracks in the box they are trying to stuff you in.

If they bring Julian Assange back here for trial, how about an Assange for President campaign? That would stir the old juices.
